Financial: Kristie Gatto is also the owner and a treating clinician with The Speech and Language Connection in Houston, Texas, as well as an instructor and lecturer, for which she is paid. She is the author of two text books, Understanding the Orofacial Complex: the evolution of dysfunction, and Understanding the Orofacial Complex: the Muscle Manual; and one children’s book, Sam the Super Chewer Eats. 

Kristie receives an honorarium and royalties associated with the books potentially mentioned in this course. She uses photographs and media of previous patients that paid for therapeutic services at her Private Practice in Houston. All photography and media releases are on file at SLC-Houston.

Non-financial: Kristie Gatto is a Past President of the International Association of Orofacial Myology, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a board of directors member for the Oral Motor Institute, an editor for the Dental Sleep Practice Magazine, a journal reviewer for Cranio, and actively involved in her community providing speaking engagements for families of patients with oromyofunctional dysfunction and feeding difficulties. 

Kristie is a member of the BOD for Oral Motor Institute (OMI) and the Myofunctional Editor for the Dental Sleep Practice Magazine. She previously sat on the BOD for the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and American Academy of Private Practitioners in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA). She is also a past president of the International Association of Orofacial Myology. She has family members with histories of feeding, swallowing, and oromyofunctional disorders that may be discussed in this course.

Financial: Amanda Chastain is also the owner and a treating clinician with The Speech Network in Lexington, KY, as well as an instructor for the International Association of Orofacial Myology for which she is paid. 

Amanda receives a speaking fee for this course. She uses photographs and media of previous patients that paid for therapeutic services at her Private Practice in Lexington, Kentucky. All photography and media releases are on file at TSN.

Amanda is a member and immediate past president of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and creator/instructor of Guided Oral Movements with Active Patterning for Infant & Toddler Feeding (GOMAP) Course; as well as co-instructor for Understanding the Orofacial Complex (IAOM Certification Track Course with Kristie Gatto). She is the owner and director of The Speech Network Pediatric Feeding & Orofacial Myology Clinic in Lexington, KY. She has family members with histories of feeding, swallowing, and oromyofunctional disorders that may be discussed in this course.
